Red Oak recognizes the importance of recycling in preserving our planet’s future. To support this mission, we offer residential recycling plans that enable our customers to keep recyclable materials out of landfills.

As a recycling customer, you receive a 95-gallon cart and dependable collection of recyclables on your scheduled service day. Our single stream recycling service means that all approved recycling materials can go into the same container, making recycling easy and convenient for you.

However, it’s crucial to ensure that only approved materials are placed in the recycling container, as even one misplaced item can contaminate the entire truck load of recyclables. To learn more about our recycling guidelines, please view our list of acceptable materials.

Recycling Guidelines

Please review our recycling guidelines for details on collection schedules and proper recycling practices. Red Oak empties one 95-gallon recycling cart per week. Please do not overload the cart; the lid must close for collection.

Any waste outside the cart will be left behind. Extra recycling that does not fit in the cart requires customers to order an additional cart. Please contact customer service for rates and set up.

All boxes must be broken down, cut up, and placed inside the cart to be removed. Boxes outside the carts will not be removed.

Move in Box Protocol for Dawson, Forsyth, Fulton, and Hall Counties

New standard customers have the first full month after starting service to take advantage of our move-in box program. Boxes must be broken down and bundled together with duct tape. We will pick up a maximum of 20 boxes per bundle and 4 bundles per pickup. Please contact customer service for rates and scheduling. We also provide additional services such as yard waste, pink bag, and Christmas tree removal to help keep your property clean and clutter-free all year round.

We have used Red Oak since 2009 and have been very pleased with the service. They have never missed a pickup without first providing advance notice (usually weather-related), and they have a very robust recycling program. We have recently disposed of some large items that they hauled away with no issue, after having provided them with prior notice. We have lived at this address since 2001, and they have been the best trash hauler we have used.

They run like clockwork - I've never been missed, and the pickup day/time is always the same. If there's a holiday or something that prevents them from running on the pickup day, they'll text/email you when the next one will be ahead of time (and it's always the next day). Super convenient. Never had a problem.
