YARD WASTE

Red Oak’s yard waste removal service is an annual service for those areas that qualify for it. For select service areas, yard waste removal is not available.

If you live in Gwinnett County, please contact us to have yard waste included in your service.

GUIDELINES

  • Yard waste consists of grass clippings, leaves, pine straw, or small plant trimmings.
  • All yard waste must be either bagged or bundled and put inside the Red Oak trash can provided. If you need an additional trash cart, please contact customer service.
  • Branches cannot exceed three (3) inches in diameter or two (2) feet in length to fit inside the trash cart.
  • No trees, tree limbs, stumps, bushes, shrubs, dirt, rocks, mulch, concrete, brick, pallets, or railroad ties will be accepted. If you leave these items curbside, service crews are not permitted to take them. Residential sanitation trucks are not equipped to handle such debris and it will be left behind.
  • Please refrain from placing yard waste in your recycling cart as it will not be collected and may lead to the need for the cart to be cleaned before the next scheduled service. Thank you for your cooperation.

We have used Red Oak since 2009 and have been very pleased with the service. They have never missed a pickup without first providing advance notice (usually weather-related), and they have a very robust recycling program. We have recently disposed of some large items that they hauled away with no issue, after having provided them with prior notice. We have lived at this address since 2001, and they have been the best trash hauler we have used.

They run like clockwork - I've never been missed, and the pickup day/time is always the same. If there's a holiday or something that prevents them from running on the pickup day, they'll text/email you when the next one will be ahead of time (and it's always the next day). Super convenient.
